PROA, one of Latin America's most important outpatient diagnostic operations, sought to regain flexibility and reduce the risk associated with depending on a single technology platform after years of experience with different PACS providers. The implementation of Eden Diagnostic OS, designed as a gradual and carefully controlled migration, evolved into one of the largest operations running on Eden. Today, PROA operates 379 branches and processes approximately 140,000 studies per month through the platform.

The challenge
Regaining flexibility and control over a critical imaging operation
PROA had a legitimate concern: avoiding once again becoming locked into a relationship of technological dependency. Previous experiences with different providers had generated a clear understanding of the risks of delegating a critical operation to inflexible platforms. The organization faced key challenges:
- Technological dependency: unilateral changes in pricing, commercial terms, technical capabilities, or development priorities that could directly impact the organization's growth capacity.
- Validation at real scale: the initial strategy did not consist of fully replacing the existing infrastructure, but rather validating in a controlled manner whether Eden could operate at the levels of stability, speed, and transparency that an organization of this scale required.
The solution

What was initially proposed as a partial implementation ultimately evolved into a continuous expansion of the operation. As PROA verified the results obtained, it gradually increased the percentage of studies and branches operated by Eden until making it one of its principal medical imaging environments:
- Consolidated scale: 379 branches and approximately 140,000 monthly studies operating on a single platform.
- Recovered control: a critical operation sustained without sacrificing growth speed, technological stability, or negotiating capacity.
- Relationship based on transparency: openness of the platform, commercial flexibility, and capacity for adaptation that generated a model of collaboration distinct from the traditional one.
- Strategic alliance: transformation of an originally defensive decision (avoiding technological dependency) into a long-term alliance for the organization's growth.
For PROA, the migration did not represent merely a change of PACS. It represented the construction of a technological relationship based on transparency, flexibility, and mutual trust.
