Building a National Diagnostic Imaging Network at Dr. Simi

177
branches connected
18,000
studies per month

Introduction

Dr. Simi, one of Mexico's largest outpatient care networks, needed to scale access to medical imaging services nationwide without depending on infrastructure or specialists at every branch. Since 2022, the implementation of Eden Diagnostic OS has enabled centralized radiology interpretation, digital delivery of results to patients, and a scalable operation. Today, a single platform supports more than 177 branches and processes approximately 18,000 studies per month, sustaining the network's clinical continuity and capacity for growth.

The challenge

Scaling a nationally distributed imaging network

As Dr. Simi's imaging network began to expand, a complex operational challenge emerged: maintaining speed, diagnostic quality, and timely access to results across a network distributed at the national level. The organization faced key challenges:

  • Limited traditional model: operations depended on local infrastructure, manual processes, and specialist availability across multiple locations, which restricted growth capacity and generated friction for both operations and patients.
  • Patient experience: study delivery relied largely on in-person processes, while users demanded faster and simpler access to their images and reports.

The goal was not simply to store studies in the cloud: it was to build a national network capable of producing, interpreting, and delivering results from anywhere in the country.

The solution

A national platform for centralized cloud-based diagnostics

Dr. Simi adopted Eden Diagnostic OS as an integrated cloud platform, connecting branches, technicians, radiologists, and patients within a single digital ecosystem.

The impact

A national diagnostic network

With Eden, Dr. Simi shifted from managing studies in a distributed manner to operating a digitally connected national diagnostic network:

  • Centralization: 177 branches and 18,000 monthly studies operating on a single technology platform, leveraging available medical capacity by concentrating radiology reading in central locations rather than replicating it at every branch.
  • Best-in-class experience: patient experience transformed with immediate access to images and reports from any device.
  • Future scalability: consolidated infrastructure ready to incorporate new branches, imaging modalities, and artificial intelligence tools without redesigning the operation from scratch.

More than digitizing studies, the collaboration between Dr. Simi and Eden made it possible to build a national diagnostic platform capable of scaling access to medical imaging services while sustaining operational efficiency, clinical continuity, and a better experience for patients and healthcare professionals.
